Another very successful and well attended Girmit Remembrance Day function organized by Fiji Association Wellington Inc. This Remembrance Day is an annual event organized by the Fiji Association since its formation, 2005.

This year we had the honour of our Fiji High Commissioner His Excellency Fillmone Waqabaca to be our chief guest.

The program included, the national anthem, interfaith prayers, guest speakers, cultural items, recognition of community work by the decedent's of our Girmitiyas and vote of thanks. I would like to thank the sponsors for their support and all the performers to make the event a success. Also like to thank all of you who attended to make the event successful.
